HOW IT WORKS

The Iris, explained

Every organisation is a process. Something arrives, something leaves, and value is created in between. The Iris turns that process into a single shape you can read in seconds, whatever industry you are in.

One minute fifty two. No sound required.

Manufacturing

Enquiry, order, production, despatch, order size, repeat rate, margin.

Professional services

Lead, proposal, delivery, utilisation, fee size, pipeline, profit.

Retail and ecommerce

Traffic, basket, fulfilment, returns, basket size, repeat rate, margin.

Clinical research

Referral, screening, enrolment, adherence, site volume, recruitment rate, data quality.

See the flagship dashboard

The Iris is a single radial chart that shows an entire organisation as one shape. The centre is where work begins. Each ring outward is the next stage of your process. Each wedge is one of the things you serve — a customer, a product, a site, a supplier, a project. Wedge size reflects what that thing is worth. Colour shows whether it is flowing cleanly or snagging.

Why it works in any industry

The structure never changes; only the ring names do. Every business takes in demand, commits to something, delivers it, does so at some speed and scale, moves in some direction, and earns some value. Those seven ideas exist in a factory, a law firm, an online shop and a clinical trial. We map them to the words your team already uses.

How to read it in ten seconds

  • A dark ring means a process problem — everyone is struggling at the same stage.
  • A dark wedge means a relationship problem — one account failing across every stage at once.
  • A large wedge is where the money is, so it is where attention should go first.
  • The outer ring is what it finally earned. Every ring inside it explains why.

Where the Iris sits in a dashboard

The Iris is the centrepiece, not the whole product. Around it sit executive summary figures, detailed tables and a data quality section that tells you what in your own data is distorting the picture. Every dashboard runs as a single HTML file in any browser. Your data never leaves your device.
